Alexander III. of Makedonia was the most successful and greatest general/warrior of all time. Born 356 B.C. as the son of Philipp II. of Makedonia, already in his youth Alexander convinces as a brilliant leader and general. After the death of his father 336 B. C. Alexander becomes King of Makedonia, marches against revolting tribes in Greece, in the North and East and decides to realize the plans of his father: conquering back the Greek colonies in Little Asia. It begins as a little campaign and ends as one of the biggest military journeys the world as ever seen. Within 13 years Alexander conquers Asia, parts of the Arabian world, the East and the west of India. When he dies on 10th June 323 B.C. he rules over the biggest empire of all time. No king, general, head of the state after him had the genius and the power to repeat Alexander's masterpiece. Although he ruled over so many different countries, usually Alexander the Great tolerated the culture and religion of each tribe he defeated.
